Specials

Each student at Columbia Elementary participates in four special classes a week. These classes offer students the opportunity to learn, grow, and explore beyond their core academic curriculum. Students develop important physical, social, and creative skills while discovering new interests.

Physical Education (P.E.) with Ms. Warenski
In PE, students will work on skills including coordination, teamwork, and sportsmanship through a variety of games and activities. PE helps students build healthy habits and learn the value of perseverance.

Dance with Ms. Jessi
Dance allows students to develop rhythm, coordination, and confidence through movement and performance. Students will build physical skills, practice collaboration, and learn to appreciate the arts.

Library with Ms. McCleary & Ms. Mooney
By visiting the library weekly, students will foster a love of reading, curiosity, and lifelong learning. Our librarians will help students explore literature and discover books that match their interests and reading levels.

Character Education with Ms. Nichols
The purpose of Character Education is to help students develop the skills needed to understand and manage emotions, build positive relationships, make responsible decisions, and navigate challenges.
